Finance

Finance refers to the management, creation, and study of money, investments, and other financial instruments. It encompasses a wide range of activities, including budgeting, saving, borrowing, lending, investing, and planning for future financial needs. Finance can be divided into three main categories: personal finance, which involves individual and household financial decisions; corporate finance, which deals with financial strategies and decisions within businesses; and public finance, which focuses on the financial activities of governments and their entities. The field of finance aims to understand how individuals, institutions, and governments allocate resources over time, often under conditions of uncertainty. It is fundamentally about the flow of funds and the evaluation of risks and returns associated with various financial activities.
