International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study and practice of political, economic, and social interactions between sovereign states and other international actors. It encompasses the analysis of how countries engage with one another, including diplomacy, conflict, trade, and the impact of international organizations. The field examines power dynamics, alliances, treaties, and the influence of factors such as geography, culture, and ideology on global affairs.

IR is interdisciplinary, integrating perspectives from political science, history, economics, law, and sociology to understand issues like security, human rights, environmental challenges, and global governance. It helps to frame contemporary global challenges and informs policymakers and analysts about potential outcomes of international interactions.
