Tennis

Tennis is a sport played between two individuals (singles) or two teams of two players each (doubles). The objective of the game is to hit a ball over a net into the opponent’s court, using a racket, with the aim of scoring points by making it difficult for the opponent to return the ball. Matches are played on various surfaces, including grass, clay, and hard courts, and scoring progresses through points, games, and sets, culminating in a match victory. Tennis is governed by the rules set forth by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and is known for its competitive nature, athleticism, and strategic gameplay. Major tournaments, known as Grand Slam events, include the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open.
